What Are The Hypnopompic And Hypnagoic Times Of Day & How Can They Help You With Your Goals?


Have you ever heard of the Hypnopompic and Hypnagogic times of Day? Well the Hypnopompic is just as you are waking from sleep, for example in the morning before you get out of bed.  It is sort of a dreamy state which is said to be a very receptive state in which to read over your goals.

Equally the Hypnagogic Time of Day is just as you are falling off to sleep, normally at night, and is a similar dreamy state.  Both these times of day are said to be prime times to read over your goals, as during these times your brain is in a relaxed state and it is very receptive to what you input, sort of like putting code into a computer!

So start with your most important goal, write it down on a card in nice bold letters, and keep it by your bed. With goals it is always important to write them in the present tense, as if you are already in possession of what you desire.  For example if your goal is about finances it could go like, “I am so happy and grateful now to be earning $100,000 per year.”  In the morning as you are waking up, grab your card and read it out loud, 3 times.  This will be the first and most important thing you input in your mind before you start your day.  It’s like planting a seed in your mind because your mind is powerful, it is a goal seeking animal!

Then at night just before you turn off the light to fall asleep, read your goal out loud again, 3 times.  This will be another seed planted in your mind as you fall off to sleep, and a powerful way for your subconscious to accept your goal as reality.

Remember to do this every morning and evening, repetition is the key to your mind accepting your goal as reality.  As you grow in confidence you can add more goals to your routine.  This really is the simplest way to begin your goal setting journey whatever your goals may be.

Goals are just like seedlings and they need to be nurtured and cared for, until their roots become deeply planted in your subconscious mind.  Once this happens your goals will begin to blossom and become your new reality.
