What can the Chinese Bamboo Teach You?

What can the Chinese Bamboo Teach You?

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last.  Well neither does bathing that’s why we recommend it daily!”
Zig Ziglar.

Chinese BambooEvery time someone says to me that the Law of Attraction, Affirmations and Visualizations don’t work, I think of the story of the Chinese Bamboo.

You see the Chinese Bamboo doesn’t even pop its head above ground for the first four years of its life.  Just like any seed it needs constant care and attention.  It needs to be watered regularly and it needs fertile ground.

So let’s say you get your new Chinese Bamboo seed, you plant in fertile ground just like you were told to and you water it.  You do this every day for two months and nothing, nada, zip, not even a tiny green shoot.  If you didn’t know better at this stage, you’d think it was dead.  You would think that the constant care that you had given it over the course of the first two months was in vain, and that it had died besides your best efforts of caring for it.

Well if you gave up at this stage, it would die.  This plant would be unable to survive without the regular watering and fertile ground.  However, if you just kept going, caring for it, watering it and fertilizing it, in its fifth year of life all of the fruits of your hard labor would come to fruition.  In its fifth year of life the Chinese Bamboo not only pops it head above ground it grows at a rate of up to 39inches in 24 hours and can reach a height of 90 feet!!!!   So all the 5 years of your care and attention had prepared it for the fantastic growth it experiences in its fifth year of life.

Well I believe, that your Affirmations and Visualizations are no different.  If you have a dream, you need to care for it daily with Affirmations and Visualizations.  This daily ritual will help to keep you focused toward your dream/goal, and also put you in the right frame of mind to notice opportunities and to take any necessary actions that may be required for you to achieve it.  Remember, to notice the results that your actions produce, and use these to guide you in the direction of your Dream.

Just like the Chinese Bamboo, keep nurturing your Dream, keep going until you succeed!  Keep Your Dream alive, keep it safe, and never ever give up!

To your success,
Roma Catherine

Here are some other late bloomers that achieved tremendous success because they kept going;

Henry Ford, had 5 failed businesses before he founded the Ford Motor Car Company and became a success.  He just kept going until he achieved.

Soichiro Honda, had many failed attempts in business, before he started making scooters at his home, which lead him to make the Honda Motor Cycles he became so famous for.

Bill Gates, dropped out of Harvard, and his first business with Paul Allen called Traf-O-Data failed.  However, this didn’t stop him he went on to create the massively successful Microsoft.

Colonel Sanders, began the Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchise when he was 65 and it is reported that he received 1,009 rejections from different restaurants, yes that is 1,009 and “No’s” before he got his first yes!  But just look at how successful he became.

The truth is there are hundreds of stories, similar to the Great Men listed above. Please feel free to comment, and share any of your stories of how you achieved your goals, I would love to hear how you did it.

    Hello Catherine,

I have some stories and I would like to tell them, but I can’t tell everything because I have just a phone to writing and my english is not the best. 🙂
I get new life… I rebuild myself in 2010. I was very-very ill, this illness started in 2006… but I changed my life and my thinking… And now I am healthy, I can live my life and I am working seven days a week… 🙂 I made new life under three days in 2012 november, from the nothing, full alone in a foreign country with 30 pounds in my pocket… After when my Love broke my life… I have found work, I have done everything, I was working from 7 AM till 9 PM, I ate daily two times something (quick soup, bagett), so I had power for nothing… But my dreams gaves me power always. I knew my dreams, I saw my dreams, I felt my dreams… I was praying every day, I gave thanks because of everything. I believe in my dreams! I have big dreams! And I want to make my dreams! I want to be a good guy! 🙂
Now I am little bit lost… I want to find solutions to the problems in my life. I want to see and know and feel my dreams… But now I don’t know what can I doing… I don’t know what is my next step and I want to find it. I know exactly I will find new goals/dreams, and possibilities what are possible for me in this moment and this situation! 🙂

      Hi Lazlo,

I hope I spelled your name correctly, as you didn’t sign it at the end of your message.
I am so happy you changed your life and are now healthy, that took a lot of positive
thought, so you definitely have the power to continue your change.

The first thing I feel you should do is to stop saying “I don’t know what to do next”,
this has a negative effect on your brain, and your brain will not search out the solutions
you need to take the next step in your life.

I want you to start using positive affirmations saying that ” every thing is working out for me
exactly how I want it to.” “I always know the next step to take in my life” “I have a wonderful
life and everything is going very well for me now.” Use these affirmations or some similar to these,
make use of your visualizations of how you want your life to be, and really act as if you are already
living Your Dream! Look at any problems you have as challenges in your life you have to overcome, and
ask your self for solutions to your challenges, once you believe you have the answer you will be surprised
at how many solutions your brain will come up with for each problem. This method really helps me find
solutions for my life’s challenges and I trust it will do the same for you just believe! Stay positive,
it sounds like you have made fantastic progress already.

      To your successful journey
