How to Visualize Your Goals in 3 Simple Steps.

3 Steps To Achieving Your GoalsThe reason why many people typically struggle with visualization is because of distractions. Distractions can come from anywhere and at any time so it’s not always possible to take some personal time every day to just relax.

To ensure that you don’t neglect visualizing your goals this means you need to be able to relax and visualize just about anywhere. Remember that the more you visualize the more success you will achieve.

Step 1.

I usually begin this step at a quiet time, such as just before bed, or a quiet few minutes after lunch.  It’s important that you have a clear picture of the goal that you want to achieve; it may help if you get a picture of what want to start this process.  Use your picture to visualize yourself from the point of already having achieved the goal.

Once you have the picture clear in your mind, make it big, make sure it’s in colour, add sounds and then add your feelings.  By doing this it will really get your subconscious mind involved in your goal and big colourful movies with sounds and feelings are easy for you to recreate again and again regardless of distractions.

Your goals don’t need to include the ways you plan to reach them, but in some cases this can help. However for step one a clear picture of what you want to achieve in life needs to be your focus point.

Remember placing a lot of focus on how these goals make you feel in conjunction with the mental picture will only strengthen the process. Whether you see yourself driving a high-end car or having more confidence speaking or performing in front of large audiences, make your image exciting.

Step 2

Once you go through the visualization of actually achieving your goal, you have to take it a step further. Think of the positive change achieving this goal with have on you.  Is that nice car taking you to your new job as a Manager?

Imagine the increased self confidence and self esteem achieving your goal will bring.  Think of all the new friends and associates congratulating you on your achievement. This step is important for you to get in touch with how achieving your goal will make you feel and also the positive effects that it will have on your life.

Once you add this to your visualization it starts to help implant your goal into your subconscious mind.  Once this happens the subconscious mind will take over, because it believes all embedded input to be fact.  Your Subconscious mind is a goal seeking animal, so take the time to implant your goal and it will do the rest, it will even take over the goal plan and find the quickest route to your desired result.

Step 3.

Now you know how to visualize your goals for Step 3, you simply have to rinse and repeat.  So take the time to really go over steps 1 and 2 until you can easily bring up your goal in clear and distinct detail at a moment’s notice.  Then visualize your goal as often as possible, but at least 3 times per day.

If you have taken the time over the first 2 steps you are going to enjoy the process and it will become easier the more you practice.  Once it becomes second nature you will be able to visualize regardless of the distractions surrounding you.  Remember that  Visualization  +  Feelings + Repetition = Your Success 🙂
