Are Your Thoughts Creating Your Reality?

Are your predominant thoughts creating your reality?  The law of attraction states that “Like Attracts Like”, that simply means that what you focus your thoughts on becomes your reality.  So if you are constantly worrying about money, you attract debt, if you are constantly complaining about your weight, you attract more problems with your weight etc the list goes on.  Unfortunately the Law of Attraction just like the Law of Gravity is an absolute law, that is it will work whether you believe in it or not.  That means that it is important that you start to focus all your predominant thoughts on what you want to achieve in your life and nothing else.

Above I shared a super little video I found on you tube of one of my favorite people Oprah Winfrey talking about how she used the Law of Attraction to attract a part in the film “The Color Purple” into her life.  Oprah tells that from when she first read the book, she was totally hooked on the story.  She loved it, all she could think about was the story and how she would love to have a part in it when the book became a film.  Well all of her dreams became her reality when she moved to Chicago in 1985 and she auditioned for a role in a film, which turned out to be “The Color Purple”.

Oprah didn’t hear anything from that audition for quite a while, and she felt that she had been rejected because she was too fat.  So she went to a fat farm, to work on reducing her weight, and while she was there she was still dreaming of this role.  Finally one day while she was out training, she got a call from Steven Spielberg and the rest is history.  Oprah, had attracted the role of Sophia from the Colour Purple into her life, and that experience made her a firm believer that you create your own reality with your predominant thoughts.   Now she uses the Law of Attraction all the time to shape her reality.

The main thing to remember here is that the What You Focus Your Thoughts on Becomes Your Reality.  So focus on What You Want with All Your Heart, No Excuses.  If the people around you are being negative, don’t hang out with them so much.  Read positive stories, books, listen to your favorite music, positive audio programs, whatever it takes, but make it fun:-)

I often hear people say, “This Law of Attraction stuff doesn’t work.”  Well if you try it for a day, or a week, you are probably right.  Just the same way that if you start a diet that you only try for a week it doesn’t work.  How many Olympic Athletes would achieve gold if they gave up after one week of training?  Zero, because it takes consistent daily training to condition their bodies to achieve peak performance in their chosen sport.  Well in my experience conditioning your brain is no different.  If you want to change the thought patterns of a life time it will take consistent practice.  And you all know that “Practice makes Perfect!”.

Start today, make it fun, get up in the morning and be thankful for all that you have, you children, your home, your pets, your bed whatever it is, be grateful.  If you don’t wake up in a great mood, listen to some upbeat music, this always works for me, so find a mood changer that works for you. Also find a little Mantra that you can repeat over and over, mine is “I can do it.” “I have a wonderful life.”  Any time a negative thought pops into my head I use one or both of these.  I say them all the time now, they have become second nature, but it took some work at first, because negativity can be infectious.  So your job today is to make positivity infectious, and when you see your life transform, pay it forward and share you knowledge to help others change their lives too:-)

To your success,

Roma Catherine
