Manyreprogram-the-subconscious-mind of us live our lives making the same mistakes over and over, or there can be similar unwanted patterns to deal with such as, difficult relationships, or Boss’s that don’t appreciate us.  We occasionally lack the understanding of why things never seem to change for us, or that the changes we make never last.

Our problems are rooted in the fact that all our efforts to change our lives are often focused on the conscious mind.  However for us to effect real change in our lives we have to change our deep-rooted beliefs and habits and these are all held in our subconscious mind. To change our lives for the better we need to be able to reprogram the subconscious mind, and replace our old limiting beliefs and habits with empowering beliefs.

Below are some tips to reprogram the subconscious mind:
Subliminal audios

These can be very effective and can be used when you are sleeping. When we sleep are subconscious mind is open to suggestion in this way the subliminal audios can be impressing positive messages and beliefs on your subconscious mind. Through the audios the conscious mind is listening to the music or speaker, while the subconscious mind hears what is recorded underneath the portion that is audible. With these audios you can relax and sleep as you work to reprogram the subconscious mind.

Visualization

Visualization is also hugely effective in reprogramming the subconscious mind.  Take some time out every day to sit and relax and mentally visualize your goals and objectives. For example imagine your Boss giving you that promotion, imagine driving that new car, etc. Really take the time to create the mental images make them big and bright, give them as much detail as you can and really feel those feelings of achievement.  This stimulates the subconscious mind and helps it to accept your visualizations as real and possible life scenarios. Once you get your subconscious mind on board, it will work tirelessly toward the achievement of the goals your visualized. Indeed many of the world’s top athletes use this strategy in order to succeed.

Affirmations

These are statements always written and recited in the present tense. They help you to instill a new positive empowering belief, habit or goal in your subconscious mind. For example ” I am a happy and confident person,” “I am so happy and grateful now that I received my promotion.” etc. The idea is that you have your statements written on a piece of paper, keep it handy in your purse or wallet, and during your day take some time out to recite your affirmations to yourself.  While doing this  really feel as you would when you have received what you are wanting. This should be done several times a day and the feeling part of the process is very important because that really impresses the affirmation on your subconscious mind.

Meditation

Another way to access the subconscious mind is through meditation, it helps by silencing the conscious mind, and relaxing the body. An easy form of meditation that I use is to just to sit or lie in comfortable position. Allow your body to relax and just focus on your breathing, deep slow breaths. When a thought enters your mind don’t dwell on it just let it go and focus on your breathing again. If your find it hard to silence the chatter of the conscious mind, I recommend listening to some relaxation music. I use an Alpha Wave music, that is very simple and relaxing, however whale music or sounds of the ocean can also work well. Meditation gives you direct access to the subconscious mind. So if there is a belief or habit that you wish to change, you can meditate, and impress this new belief on the subconscious mind. I do this by relaxing and holding one word or two words in my mind as I meditate, such as ” Happy & Positive”.

Negativity Diet

Whatever we feel or hear usually goes to the subconscious part of our mind and we all need to manage what we let in. Therefore, I strongly recommend a negativity diet, which simply means avoiding as many negative situations or thoughts as you can.

Eliminate most of the negative things around, by staying clear of violent movies/video games, avoid negative people,  and avoid the news as much as possible. Instead begin to focus on the positive through reading positive materials, spending time with positive people, enjoying your favourite activities. The more you feed your subconscious mind with these positive messages it will automatically begin to reprogram itself to be positive.

The main problem many people have is that they are unaware that their subconscious mind is what is controlling the day-to-day running of their lives. However, now that you know you can begin to make effective changes to reprogram your subconscious mind today, so that you are now in control of where you are headed tomorrow. By using these tips you will be one step closer to being better and stronger.  The key to lasting change is repetition, until your new beliefs become your reality.
